Ms. Dana is a member of the Penobscot Nation, recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Algonquinian Language Conference for her work on the revitalization of the Penobscot language, a teacher of the Penobscot language, the author of two books of poetry, and is currently collaborating on a bilingual book of traditional Penobscot tales.
